Career Counseling and Executive Coaching Resources

Hoovers offers research and links for career exploration.

The Occupational Outlook Handbook is the U.S. government’s main source of career guidance describing hundreds of occupations.

The O*NET database is a comprehensive source of descriptors (skills, work activities, experience levels required etc.) for more than 900 occupations that are central to the economy. The O*NET system supersedes the Dictionary of Occupational Titles with current information accessed online and through public and private sector career and labor market information systems. This has career exploration tools and a wide variety of helpful resources.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics site provides research and helpful links.

Vault provides data on specific industries and companies. It is a helpful, but not free, resource.

Wetfeet provides a wide variety of research information and a career search tool.
